How are the rewards paid for?

The cost of the reward is debited from the donor’s donation amount. The remaining balance is then deposited into your school’s account, just like a cookie dough fundraiser.
As rewards are meant to incentivize donations to your school and not to enrich the reward providers at the expense of your school, our team aims to find rewards that minimize cost of goods sold. Internally, we are striving to find rewards that can be offered which correspond to no more than 35% of the total donation amount (ie. $5 donation, no more than $1.75 cost of goods sold, $100 donation / no more than $35 cost of goods sold). This isn’t possible in all instances as we try to provide the best rewards and experiences, but it is a measuring stick for our team internally as we aim to help your school raise more money than ever before.
